Clarity DAB Cube 2 Handheld DAB/FM Radio Receiver with Speaker
I brought this radio to listen to whilst walking the dogs. Overall very good for size/price. Small and compact easy to use.
Headphones supplied were pretty poor. "Flex" was to rigid and with poor ear fit they regularly fell out. Changed to a set from Sony much better in use and sound quality improved.
Small amount of signal dropout on edge of reception areas but still better than analogue on previous radio. |

To be honest I had low expectations when I saw the price and teeny tiny size of this DAB radio but I have been blown away by its capability! It's so tiny you can slip it in your pocket, wear it round your neck or even on your keys. The headphones it comes with are designed so that you can wear it round your neck, but I switched this over for my regular headphones and wasn't disappointed with the sound quality.
Now obviously you need to check online that you can get DAB reception where you want to use it, I found the info pretty accurate and have happily been using mine at home, at work and at the gym, all in different villages/towns. Sometimes the signal is too weak on some channels so if you have one favourite station it might not be for you.
It has neat little features like a digital date and clock and you can 'favourite' your preferred stations for easy access.
As others have noted, it comes with a USB and not a main wall charger, although there is an information slip in the box that tells you where you can order an adapter for mains (you can probably also get these in electrical stores).
All in all I've been really happy with mine, would recommend if you're in a DAB signal area! |

Radio arrived promply , suprised how small it actually is , simple to charge from laptop USB , Auto Tuned into over 50 stations in seconds, cant fault it really , perfect reception. Changed the head phones for a pair of high end Sony items i had , gives a pleasant rich sound, the standard headphones are ok and do the job...Cant understand why people have had problems , great little radio for the sport at weekends, goes in pocket no problem , and the auto keylock stops the buttons being pressed by accident. Simple to use, you prob wont need to read the instuctions.Excellent.
After owning the radio for a while I have now experienced station dropping out in , radio is ok , but I went and got A PURE dab 1500 which whilst bigger is a far superior radio.. you make sacrafices for the small size it seems. |

I purchased mine for use whilst out cycling, walking etc. I would reccommend anyone to buy it. Works well in town centres and on buses. Its cute. The big draw back is that it cuts in and out. This is not a fault of the unit, if you paid much more for one it would still happen as it is a reception problem, much like the mobile phones were when they were still bricks. However it only cuts out whilst between steep ravines, railway banking, overhanging trees etc. Reception doesn`t seem as good in rain either. Other than that its great. Battery life is good, same as my MP3. I use my MP3 charger to charge my cube approx 90 mins from flat.
Go ahead, buy it.
Oh, yes, use the phones provided as they are part of the antenna for picking up the DAB signal. |

| reception/clarity extremely poor. repeatedly cuts out irrespective of the environment it is played in. battery life very short. altogether I am extremely disappointed to the extent that I wished I had never bought it and would advise anyone else thinking of purchasing this item to save their money. about the only thing in its favour is its size. I regret not returning the item within a few days of purchase. instead, I regretfully kept it in the hope that I would discover conditions which would see an improvement. this did not happen. |
Shocking!

I've used portable DAB's for years now, this is the worst by a mile. The signal is so poor, in areas where other units are very strong. When you turn the volume up the there is silence for a second, then it retunes, so annoying! No equaliser settings, and really stupid headphones.
Avoid, it may be small, but it's rubbish! |
