Nice simple piece of kit, seems bit lightweight/ plasticky straight out of box but much better than similarly priced rivals.
Pure One Mini Dab Radio

Reviewer: Irene,
I love this little Radio, I already own three other Pure Dab Radio's but wanted a small compact one for my craft desk
and this one is perfect, I found the controls easy to use and it takes up a very small space on my desk. It's easy to tune into any station that I want to listen to. I would definitely recommend it.
Has its drawbacks.

Reviewer: RTL,
When my usual AM radio failed I purchased this as a replacement along with the battery pack as wanted portability. I also own a DAB radio made by Roberts. The Pure Mini can't get the same stations as good as the Roberts, for instance I can pick up Tay AM on the Roberts but the Pure just shows "station not available" when I try to tune it in. Radios are in the same position. Also where my AM radio would play anywhere in the garden I have trouble with this one. If the sun shines directly on it, the display disappears and it finally cuts off. The AM would have played on. Also tried playing my Creative Zen Stone Plus MP3 using the Line In. Worked fine for a while but now the connector on the radio itself is dodgy---bad connection for one channel. Cheap component being used so that is now no longer usable. Also quite regularly when I switch it on, it goes through an autotune as all the presets have been lost. Have to set them all again which is annoying. When it works, sound is o.k. but DAB radio isn't as good as these so-called-experts would have us believe. This radio will only work in specific places outside---AM radio would work anywhere.
Well designed

PURE ONE Mini DAB/FM Radio - Black

I have bought several Pure radios and changed my mind on some of them (thanks to Amazon's returns service ) but I finally decided on this black mini for the spare room/study the black goes with the spare telly, computer and printer. I also am getting a white mini for the kitchen in which I am going to put a battery pack so it can double for the bathroom, and a pink Classic for the bedroom. I do have two of another leading brand for clock radio and hi fi.5 radios for 5 rooms!. All tuned to ClassicFm!

Not much to add to the reviews except to say the black has a glossy top but matt speaker surround. It does not have the alarm, sleep and pause and rewind functions which the Classic has. But sound is very very good and clear. The screen is easily viewed and the typeface clear and well designed., and I speak as OAP. There was some criticism of the pre-sets but its so simple to find a station that it doesn't matter if you lose the presets when the mains lead comes out or the battery dies. It's a lovely little radio.
Difficult to tune in

Reviewer: J N Plymouth,
It took me some time to tune this radio in. The instructions were not that clear. Either that or the tuning buttons were not working that well. I don't know whether it is the radio or the digital system itself but it keeps cutting out for a few seconds. Apart from that it is neat and when running is clear. Stations can be pre-set which is useful.

Reviewer: Cooko,
This is an excellent radio giving reliable DAB reception. It's smart, small enough to be sited in various parts of the house, and easy to navigate. Its extendable metal arial seems superior to the flimsy wire arials of some other radios.
Simply superb little radio

This radio sounds superb even on FM and is very easy to set up too. Highly recommended!
A simple yet great little radio

Personally, the size of this radio is a great benefit to me ( H13.5 x W13 x D6cm). In my kitchen work top space is always at a premium and I wouldn't want something bigger taking up more room. This little mini radio takes up hardly any space and still looks good.

The screen is really quite small but it is easy enough to read. When it is turned on it does have a clock display but personally I always turn it off at the power supply rather than leave it on standby. The display will also show you any important information about the radio station you are listening to or provide any additional details that the radio station sends out.

It's really simple to use, just turn on and it will automatically find the local and main commercial radio stations. I think my husband pre-programmed a few different radio stations but I think that it found the main ones by itself. It has space for you to pre-programme sixteen stations.

It doesn't look like some of the fancier more stylish models available, it is a basic square shape with no real decoration. It is sweet and simple. You can purchase this in a range of colours, black, white and I believe pink. I own the black one and because it sits in my kitchen black is probably easier to keep clean or at least not show up all the splashes of spilt food so quickly.
